**Anesthesiologist**

**Job Description**

- Optimal start February 8, 9, or 10 with hour shifts.
- Cover all cases presenting to the facility; currently, we do not handle cardiac, transplants, high-risk pediatrics, or heads.
- OB cases require skill set for epidurals, spinals, and general anesthesia for emergency c-sections.
- Ortho cases require proficiency with regional anesthesia.
- Neuro/Heads involve spine surgery (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar cases); no heads.
- Pediatrics involve healthy pediatrics with CRNA supervision or doctors doing their own cases; anticipate doing your own cases unless on call, then you would supervise the CRNAs and see all cases and add-ons during the day with a supervision ratio of 3:1 or 2:1.
- Call is expected as this is the most pressing need; after February, we will have only two full-time call-taking doctors and do not want to get burned out. Some per diem doctors will take a few calls during the month.
- Anesthesia rooms on site: 5 available, but we typically run only three anesthetizing locations daily. In emergency cases, the call doctor will start the case, and the CRNAs will be unsupervised until a case comes down.
- Practice model for each location: 4 full-time physicians are desired for coverage, but we will have 2 at the end of January.
- Paper charting is utilized.
- Credentialing takes two to three months.
