**Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)**

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) delivers procedural anesthesia care as part of a team under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. As part of this team, the CRNA is expected to engage in accurate, ongoing patient assessments, communicate with members of the healthcare team, use resources efficiently to deliver optimal care, and document care thoroughly in the appropriate records. The CRNA administers general, regional anesthetics, or Monitored Anesthesia Care during surgical and/or obstetrical procedures under the medical direction of an attending anesthesiologist. 

**Job Description**

- Delivers procedural anesthesia care as part of a team under the supervision of an anesthesiologist
- Engages in accurate, ongoing patient assessments
- Communicates with members of the healthcare team
- Uses resources efficiently to deliver optimal care

- Evaluates situations and informs attending anesthesiologist of patient's condition
- Recommends anesthetics to be used, techniques of administration, and supportive measures necessary for approval by attending physician as required by departmental guidelines
- Checks anesthesia machine and monitoring equipment, supplies, medication, and anesthesia gases
- Monitors and records the patient's vital signs, records all medication administered to the patient and related reactions and responses

**Job Description**

- Work full-time with a preference for 3 shifts per week, including 10's, 12's, 13's, or 14's (flexible with days and a mixture of shift times, but a minimum of 2 shifts per week)
- Manage a diverse case mix including Plastics, Ortho, Ortho/Trauma, ENT, Maxillofacial, Vascular, OB, Colorectal/GI, Bariatric, General, Urology, GI (colonoscopy/EGD), Spine, and Electrophysiology Lab
- Utilize the EMR system Epic

**Requirements**

- Active license is highly preferred (licensing takes 3-4 months; if you have a multi-state license, then need CSR/DEA taking 3-4 weeks)
- Credentialing time frame is 1-2 months (could be less)
