- Order diagnostic tests and refer patients as necessary
- Teach and mentor medical staff and provide in-service training and educational lectures adhering to clinical protocols and standards

**Schedule:**

- Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour shifts (including an uncompensated 30-minute meal break), between 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- On Call: Provide on-call services weekdays, weekends, and the day of observance of Federal holidays. Typically for 24 hours each day for 1 week, starting Thursday

**Requirements:**

- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school in the U.S. or Canada
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an accredited internship and residency program in Pediatrics
- Experience: Clinical competency within the past two years in Pediatrics, with at least 32 hours of patient treatment within the specialty in the last 24 months
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Licensure: Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine as a Pediatrician
- Board Certification: American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
- Continuing Medical Education (CME): Documentation required within one month of CME-accredited events
