Summary: The Advanced Program Manager (APM) reports to the Director of the Center for Professional Practice Innovation and Nursing Research (CPPI). The Advanced Practice Manager (APM) role which is part of the CPPI department anchors nursing practice to evidenced-based information and nurse-sensitive outcomes. Advanced Practice Managers aim to plan design and implement patient-specific and population-based programs of care. The APM contributes to clinical excellence in patient care through consulting research teaching and leadership in the organization. The role of the Advanced Practice Manager is guided by American Nurses Association Nursing Administration and Professional Development Scope and Standards. All essential functions performed in the position reflect age specific needs of the geriatric adult and pediatric patients. Conducts scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment; moves scanner over specified body area adjusts equipment to focus and records anatomical pathophysiological data on film. Assists physician in procedures such as localizations biopsies and aspirations by confirming the location of the cyst using ultrasound equipment marking on the patients body handing instruments and equipment to physician scanning the patient using ultrasound equipment at designated intervals during the procedure while maintaining aseptic conditions taking ultrasound images and cleaning the treatment area upon completion of procedures. Assembles all necessary information and film including own impressions of the case and presents them to the physician for interpretation. Reviews orders for their appropriateness and contacts referring doctor with any questions. Reviews daily procedures and schedules examinations notifies transport service to ensure that patients are transported to the area for examination. Orders picks up and stores supplies required for ultrasound procedures and checks expiration dates for supplies and medications. Maintains ultrasound equipment and work area submitting maintenance requests as necessary. Responsible for cleaning scanning room daily and between patients for optimal infection control. Assumes responsibility for the safety mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographers care. Assists with the daily operations of the sonographic department including participation in the maintenance of accreditation. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all interrelating hospitals referral or commercial agencies. Provides for clinical experience of diagnostic medical sonography students instructing and guiding students through ultrasound procedures. Summary: Under the general supervision of the Manager of Case Management or Director of Case Management the outpatient case manager performs all the functions of a Case Manager Registered Nurse within the Department of Case Management. C ollaborates with the clinical healthcare team across the patient care continuum and participates in the oversight of the progress of complex patients. The outpatient case manager will work with patients post hospital discharge meet with them in the community as needed and will help the patient collaborate with community providers to maximize their supports and resources outside of the hospital. Collects data and facilitates clinical quality improvement to enhance the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care and prevent readmissions. Goal: To provide patients a smooth transition to the next level of care post discharge from the acute care setting. The Outpatient case management team would follow patients after discharge to ensure proper follow up including appointments home care services supplies and long-term planning. Summary: The Clinical Manager of the Nursing Resource Department has round-the-clock responsibility for directing and coordinating resources for patient and family care delivery. **Clinical Manager of the Nursing Resource Department**

**Job Description:**

- Round-the-clock responsibility for directing and coordinating resources for patient and family care delivery
- Collaborates with relevant Director, Clinical Manager, and Assistant Clinical Manager to provide leadership across patient care areas

**Responsibilities:**

- Manages a team of 15-20 nursing supervisors and collaborates with local nursing leaders to manage day-to-day nursing operations
- Performs continual assessment of processes around nurse supervisor rounding and staffing, making improvements as needed
- Ensures that reported data provided by the nursing supervisor team is timely, accurate, and actionable
- Develops an operational and capital budget for the nursing supervisor team; analyzes and explains budget variances
- Provides support for leadership development and professional growth for Nursing Supervisors and other Patient Care Services staff
- Evaluates and provides resources and feedback to staff to enhance professional development
- Defines and assures adherence to unit and organizational policies, procedures, and standards
- Serves on multidisciplinary quality improvement committees
