  - Assesses staff educational needs as a result of performance deficiencies.
  - Schedules and/or performs in-service education and training to meet these needs.
- Responsible for Utilization Review activities, including determination of the resident's required level of care, and in accordance with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
  - Routine review of Medicare, Skilled Medicaid, and private skilled residents.
  - Check certifications for all types of residents when reviewing all new admissions.
  - In-service and assist nursing staff regarding documentation of care needed to meet and maintain skilled level of care requirements.
  - Daily updates of resident levels of care changes.
  - Help with MDS completion.
