**Urgent Care Physician Assistant**

**Location:** Dumfries, Virginia

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is actively recruiting for a civilian Urgent Care Physician Assistant at the Dumfries Health Center to support the active duty and dependents in the National Capitol Region.

**Job Description:**

- Work in a supportive environment with access to specialty services, including pediatrics, radiology, pharmacy, and lab; all located in the same building.

- Treat patients who are Tricare insured, including active military, qualifying veterans, and their dependents.

**Scheduling:**

- Urgent Care hours are from 7 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday & 8 am to 2 pm on Saturday.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week: Monday through Friday from 7 am to 8 pm; Saturday from 7 am to 2 pm on rotation. No Sundays!

**Aspects of the UCC:**

- 2-3 patients per hour.
- Extension of the ED at Ft. Belvoir.
- Patients exceeding the clinic's scope are transferred to the nearest ED.
- BLS only facility - No crash carts.
- Typically does not see overflow from primary clinics.
- Support staff includes Nursing & MA.
- Stable culture with Senior Physician & Nursing leadership.

**Job Requirements:**

- All active State licenses accepted.
- At least 1 year of experience working in Urgent Care/ER.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Active DEA registration.
