To protect your workforce, we are at your fingertips: Job Description The Physician Assistant (PA) at Eareckson Air Station (EAS) is responsible for delivering comprehensive medical services in a remote and challenging environment. The PA will provide acute and emergency care, manage chronic conditions, support medical evacuations, and maintain medical records in accordance with federal and state regulations, ensuring the health and safety of all personnel at the station. The PA is responsible for providing medical oversight, direction, and leadership to the medical staff regarding all areas of healthcare in this remote setting. They will be responsible for the leadership of the medical staff as well as providing status updates to the prime vendor and federal agencies. Key Responsibilities: Leads quality development and clinical governance agendas including maintaining the Code of Conduct of medical practice, medical record-keeping, infection control standards, emergency response preparedness, medical staff, and patient safety at the facility. Medical Services Staff and operate the medical clinic on EAS, providing acute and emergency medical care to all personnel. Ensure availability for emergency response 24/7/365, with the ability to respond within 30 minutes of notification. Sustain life, limb, or eyesight until evacuation is possible. Manage and coordinate medical evacuations, including administrative services for medevac operations. Provide mortuary affairs services as required. Inspect and maintain the medical clinic and equipment, ensuring compliance with all relevant health care standards. Provide direct supervision of medical staff and care oversight. Qualifications Required Skills and Knowledge Expertise in providing acute and emergency medical care in remote or austere environments. Strong knowledge of medical evacuation procedures and the ability to manage complex evacuations. Proficiency in maintaining medical records and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA. Competency in telemedicine and teleradiology services. Ability to shoot and interpret basic X-rays independently. Experience Preferred: Previous experience in military or remote medical settings is highly desirable. Prior employment as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred. Extensive ER experience. Education Required: Current and unrestricted license from any US State, District of Columbia or US Territory to provide healthcare within the scope of practice. Current and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in at least one state within the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
