    Registered Nurse (RN)

    Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a supportive and collaborative environment. We offer a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 and have shifts available for all schedules including days, evenings, full-time, part-time, per diem, weekend warrior, and overnights.

    Job Description

    • Supervise duties performed by LPNs and CNAs in a team care setting under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, and Director of Nursing.
    • Provide direct care and treatment to long-term and rehabilitation residents.
    • Provide assessment and documentation of residents under their care.
    • Initiate and administer intravenous treatments.
    • Communicate with the nursing team and medical team as appropriate.
    • Review and evaluate the resident care plan.
    • Transcribe physician orders.
    • Assist in orienting new staff.
    • Maintain competency in all site-specific tasks required by the facility.
    • Work closely with the RN Supervisor to ensure the best possible functions of the assigned unit.
    • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
    • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications.
    • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
    • Assess the patient's ability to do routine daily tasks.
    • Recognize and manage geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric/psychosocial, integumentary, sensory, and pain problems.
    • Prepare equipment and aid the physician during the examination and treatment of the patient.
    • Communicate with family members regarding the patient.
    • Record all care information concisely, accurately, and entirely, promptly, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
    • Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting.

    Requirements

    • Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
    • A current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
    • Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
    • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable.
    • Strong customer service skills and compassion.
