This medical center provides a wide range of services for 40,000 area residents. As a part of Maine's largest healthcare system, you will have job security and access to outstanding specialists. Practice in a modern hospital on a picturesque campus where the buildings sit nestled into pine trees surrounded by nature trails and a spectacular garden ideal for picnics or meditation. The Women's Health group is based in an impressive medical-arts building that feels more like a resort lodge than a hospital, with an open atrium and fireplace, plus floor-to-ceiling windows providing forest and garden views.
Enjoy a convenient 4-day/week schedule practicing in this popular and growing college town in scenic west-central Maine. Join 4 physicians and a CNM providing high-quality care for women in a full-service practice with an interesting case mix including normal and high-risk obstetrics (about 250 deliveries annually) along with preventive care, contraceptive counseling and family planning, menopause and hormone management, infertility evaluation, and gynecologic surgery. Here you will find supportive, collaborative colleagues and enjoy strong patient/provider relationships. Teaching opportunities are available when medical students and residents from Portland and Boston rotate to the hospital. The practice is equipped with the latest equipment. Deliveries are performed in comfortable hospital birthing suites, with many procedures done in the office, including vaginal ultrasound, video colposcopy, LEEP, NSTs, and urodynamics. Call is shared on a 1:4 basis.
You will earn a terrific package that includes a competitive salary plus productivity bonuses, a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, paid liability insurance, medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, plenty of paid vacation time, paid parental leave, more paid leave plus a budget for your CME, a retirement plan with employer matching and assistance with your student loan debt. This is a designated National Health Service Corps site allowing for additional federal loan repayment.
