The Echocardiographer performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment in conjunction with the cardiologist. Administers contrast media to patients. Responsible for coverage in ultrasound, sharing responsibilities with other ultrasonographers. Assures emotional, mental, and physical well-being of the patient. Able to deal with emergency situations in a calm and professional manner. The job will entail access to confidential information such as patient health information (PHI). Must demonstrate ethical behavior and respect for security and privacy.

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations for evaluation and treatment
• Administer contrast media to patients
• Share responsibilities with other ultrasonographers
• Ensure the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of patients
• Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally
• Maintain confidentiality of patient health information (PHI)

Requirements

• 40 hours per week - First Shift
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
• Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or CCI specialized in cardiovascular anatomy
• Completion of ultrasound training at an approved ultrasound school
• BLS/CPR certification
