Gastroenterology Locum Tenens

Location: Clive, IA

Job Description:

• Work in an outpatient service setting
• Provide supplemental coverage
• Clinical only role with a shift schedule of Mon-Fri, 7:30 am-4:00 pm
• Serve adults in the endoscopy suite
• Handle a patient volume of 12-14 with a minimum of 12 endoscopies per day, 5 days per week
• Collaborate with 3 physicians: 2 for clinic patients and outpatient procedures, and 1 for procedures only

Required Procedures:

• Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry, Small Bowel Biopsy, Lower GI Endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy
• Types of Upper GI Endoscopy include: with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal, with Banding of Varices, Diagnostic, with PEG, possible ERCPs

Facilities:

• Lab & X-Ray onsite
• EMR system: Allscripts

Requirements:

• Active IA License or IMLC
• BC/BE
• ACLS, ATLS, NALS, APLS, or PALS CPR Certification
• Clean record
• COVID Vaccination proof
• Must be available full-time for a 6-month assignment
