Join our team as a Nocturnist in Suffolk, VA, providing supplementary coverage in an inpatient setting. This locum tenens position offers a unique opportunity to work with adult patients during the night shift.

Job Description

• Provide clinical coverage from January 2, 2025, and ongoing
• Work shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM
• Manage a patient volume of 88+ admissions, with 8-10 admissions per shift and 7-10 admissions overnight in addition to floor calls
• Handle floor calls for 7 units (2s, 3n, 4s, 4n, 5s, CVT Stepdown, and CVT ICU)
• No rounding required; however, the provider will be responsible for floor calls
• Closed medical ICU with a 24-hour Intensivist responsible for admissions

Requirements

• Active VA License
• Board Certified (BC)
• DEA certification
• ACLS and BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Local candidates are highly preferred
• Clean record

Other Information

• No other Hospitalists present during the shift
• No in-house codes
• EMR: Epic
