Obstetrics & Gynecology - Locum Tenens

Location: Steamboat Springs, CO

Job Description:

• Work setting includes both inpatient and outpatient services
• Hospital schedule: Monday-Friday; varies
• Clinic schedule: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm (4 days)
• Call schedule: 8 days per month, 1:4 call ratio, 20-minute response time
• Patient volume: 15-20 per clinic day
• Deliveries per week: 6
• Practice composition: 50% low risk, 50% high risk pregnancy; 20% C-section; 35% office GYN

Team Structure:

• Physicians in practice: 3 OBGYNs, virtual MFM/Perinatologists
• Support staff includes 2 midlevels and RNs
• Supervision required for CNMs when they take 1st call

Procedures:

• Low & high risk pregnancy management
• FHR interpretation and OB ultrasounds
• Routine and complicated deliveries
• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Office/minor GYN and surgical GYN procedures
• Laparoscopic diagnostics and operative/major GYN

Facilities:

• Number of beds: 39; ICU: 4
• Number of exam rooms: 13
• Trauma Level: III
• Nursery Level: II
• Lab and ultrasound available on site
• EMR system: Epic

Requirements:

• Active CO License or IMLC
• Board Certification (BC)
