Join our team for a locum tenens opportunity in Sylva, NC, providing supplemental coverage in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position offers a chance to work in a supportive environment with a dedicated staff.

Job Description

• Coverage period: Nov 27, 2024 - Dec 23, 2024
• Shifts needed to be filled:
  • Nov 27 - Dec 1; (7a-7a)
  • Dec 20-23; (5p-7a)
  • Dec 31 - Jan 3; (7a-7a)
• Shift schedule: M-F; 8a-5p
• Call schedule: Nightly and weekend call
• Call type: Beeper call
• Call response time: 30 mins
• Patient volume:
  • Clinic: 15
  • Hospital: 4-6
• Annual deliveries: 600
• Admissions: 4
• Rounding included: Yes
• Support staff: 2 RNs, 3 CMAs, 4 CMNs, 4 office staff, 3 sonographers, 1 lab tech
• Procedures include:
  • Low/high pregnancy management
  • FHR interpretation
  • NST/CST/FSE
  • OB ultrasounds (performance and interpretation)
  • Routine and complicated deliveries
  • Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
  • Office/minor gynecology procedures: IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
  • Surgical gynecology: Open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromal tubation)
  • Operative/major procedures (includes diagnostic): ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's

Requirements

• Active NC license
• Board certified/board eligible
• NPR, ACLS certification
• Case logs (within 12 months): 50 deliveries including 12 cesareans and 25 GYN surgeries including 5 major vaginal and abdominal cases
