Join our team as a General Surgeon in Bullhead City, AZ. This locum tenens position offers an opportunity to provide supplemental coverage in an inpatient setting.

Job Description

• Provide general surgery services for adult, pediatric, neonate, and trauma patients
• Perform laparoscopic surgeries including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
• Conduct head/neck surgeries, chest wall/pleural procedures, and breast & OBGYN surgeries including hysterectomy
• Manage liver surgeries and cesarean sections
• Perform GI endoscopy (upper and lower, including sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy)
• Conduct minor orthopedic procedures and hand surgeries
• Manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement
• Perform vascular surgeries including aneurysm repairs (thoracic & abdominal) and arterial bypass
• Engage in plastic surgery procedures

Requirements

• Active Arizona medical license
• Board certified or board eligible

Additional Information

• Coverage period: August 1-5, 2024
• Call schedule: 24-hour call (7a-7a) with a beeper call ratio of 100%
• Call response time: 15 minutes
• Patient volume: 7-10 with admissions of 6 or less
• Rounding included with support staff of 1 RN
• EMR: Athena/Medhost
• Temporary privileges available
