Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Georgetown & Sandusky, Ohio

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for a contract opportunity with a nursing facility in Ohio on an as-needed basis.

Job Description:

Work within a nursing home setting
8-hour shifts per day
Rate: $40/hr

Requirements:

Ohio License
Registered with the Ohio Board of Nursing
CPR Certification
Knowledge of skilled licensed practical nursing procedures, pharmacology, patient care, first-aid, general hospital practices & procedures

Responsibilities:

Administer nursing care within a set scope of practice, including administering oxygen, applying sterile dressing, etc.
Assist in emergencies by administering first-aid, performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, restraining patients
Maintain medication accountability records (e.g., charts patient records, prepares & counts medication, etc.)
Observe, document & report patient conditions and prepare &/or maintain related reports & records
Provide general nursing, direct care &/or programming assistance
Provide work direction, orientation & training to lower-level direct care staff in providing general unskilled nursing care (e.g., dressing)
Order medication & medical supplies; clean nurses station & medication room/medication cart; perform some clerical tasks
