    Job Description:

    • Perform advanced vocational nursing work in a supported living center
    • Provide care, treatment, and general welfare for patients with intellectual disabilities, complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues
    • Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
    • Perform nursing duties within assigned areas and shifts
    • Conduct basic and complex nursing tasks, including lab work and health screenings
    • Assist with on-the-job nursing instruction and training of new LVNs
    • Implement measures to prevent the spread of disease
    • Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance programs and therapeutic nursing programs

    Requirements:

    • Licensed to practice Nursing in Texas
    • 1 year, preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse
    • Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.
