Licensed Vocational Nurse

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Job Description:

Perform advanced vocational nursing work in a supported living center
Provide care, treatment, and general welfare for patients with intellectual disabilities, complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues
Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
Perform nursing duties within assigned areas and shifts
Conduct basic and complex nursing tasks, including lab work and health screenings
Assist with on-the-job nursing instruction and training of new LVNs
Implement measures to prevent the spread of disease
Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance programs and therapeutic nursing programs

Requirements:

Licensed to practice Nursing in Texas
1 year, preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse
Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.
