School Licensed Practical Nurse

Adelphi is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Licensed Practical Nurse to join a school district in Willingboro, New Jersey. The LPN will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to students, including those with special needs. They should be compassionate, student-focused, and collaborate well with staff, parents, and healthcare providers.

Job Description

• Conduct thorough health assessments for all students, with particular attention to the unique needs of special needs students.
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency care plans (ECPs) as needed.
• Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, including specialized medications for students with complex medical needs.
• Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, including first aid, CPR, and coordination with emergency medical services.
• Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, chronic disease management, and mental health.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in accordance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA.
• Work closely with teachers, counselors, school administrators, and external healthcare providers to coordinate care and support for students.

Requirements

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited LPN program
• Valid LPN license from the New Jersey Board of Nursing
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Fundamental nursing skills and knowledge
• Ability to perform basic patient care under supervision
