Occupational Therapist

We're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a team in Salinas, CA on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. You'll work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, helping patients regain independence and return to their homes, communities, and jobs.

Job Description

• Evaluate patients' physical and cognitive strengths, limitations, and environments to set meaningful goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
• Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve daily living skills and independence.
• Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Teach and practice everyday activities to build patient competence and confidence.
• Educate patients and families about condition management and strategies to increase independence.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Communicate and coordinate care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Keep accurate evaluations and progress notes.
• Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Valid, active Occupational Therapy state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED).
