Physical Therapist

Join our team as a Physical Therapist in Albuquerque, NM. This contract position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on patient care and rehabilitation.

Job Description

• Perform comprehensive evaluations: review medical history, assess mobility, strength, balance, coordination, pain, and functional limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable rehabilitation goals.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions: therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, stretching), and assistive device training.
• Use physical modalities as appropriate (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold) to manage pain and support tissue healing.
• Provide education to patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, home exercise programs, ergonomics, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on patient progress; maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, progress notes, and changes in condition.
• Collaborate and communicate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other care team members to coordinate patient care.
• Apply pain management strategies and support patients in regaining independence after surgery, injury, or illness.
• Adhere to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards; obtain informed consent; demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Active, valid Physical Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED)

Benefits

• Travel rate: $2,308 for 36 hours
• Local rate: $2,275 for 36 hours
