    Physical Therapist

    We're seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Pleasant Hill, CA, starting ASAP. The schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,383/36 hrs; Local rate $2,347/36 hrs.

    Job Description

    • Perform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and collaborate with the care team to identify each patient's needs and goals.
    • Design and deliver individualized treatment plans and exercise programs to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.
    • Conduct hands-on techniques (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, manual stretching) to improve mobility and reduce pain.
    • Apply modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to support healing and reduce inflammation.
    • Teach proper use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) and provide practical guidance for safe mobility.
    • Develop pain management strategies using therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy.
    • Create and prescribe personalized home exercise programs to support recovery between visits.
    • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to meet rehabilitation goals.
    • Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, injury prevention, body mechanics, and ergonomics.
    • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.
    • Maintain accurate patient records, obtain informed consent, and adhere to legal and ethical standards, including confidentiality.
    • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet the diverse needs of patients.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements

    • Valid, active Physical Therapy state license.
    • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (must include AED).
