We are looking for a full-time MRI Technologist to join our team.

Job Description

• Perform MRI exams in accordance with exam procedures and protocols using independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care.
• Assist Radiologists with special procedures such as arthrograms, reviewing all necessary documentation related to the procedures, and setting up patients.
• Operate equipment and perform related clinical and administrative duties.
• Escort patients to treatment room and assist with dressings as necessary.
• Complete all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of MRI services.
• Explain MRI procedures to address patient concerns and questions.
• Administer I.V. contrast.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Conduct quality control measures to monitor machine performance and report all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the site manager.
• Focus on customer service and use courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors to maintain a professional atmosphere.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure required.
• Two years of clinical experience in all MRI procedure types.
• Siemens, GE experience preferred.
