    Registered Dietitian (RD I)

    AdventHealth Lake Wales is a licensed 160-bed hospital, with 24-hour emergency care and outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab, and wound care, that has been serving the community and surrounding areas. As a part of the AdventHealth network, patients will have greater access to a wide range of innovative therapies, new research, leading-edge technology, and an extensive team of medical specialists. Lake Wales is located in Central Florida in between Orlando and Tampa and is home to the Historic Bok Tower Gardens and Bird Sanctuary.

    Job Description

    • Provide medical nutrition therapy including nutrition education, nutrition counseling, enteral/parenteral nutrition intervention, and condition-specific nutrition care on patients/clients using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics AND Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care and Standards of Professional Performance for Registered Dietitians.
    • Utilize relevant data to assess patients/clients for nutrition-related problems, identify and label specific treatable nutrition problems/diagnoses, implement appropriate nutrition interventions to correct nutrition-related behaviors/risk factors, and monitor and evaluate outcomes related to nutrition diagnoses, goals, and interventions for patients/clients.
    • Exhibit quality in practice, competence, and accountability for ensuring patient safety, and provide safe and quality-based services while meeting the mission and vision of the organization and all regulatory requirements.
    • Apply research to enhance practice and communicate and apply knowledge including effective precepting of students, interns, and staff.
    • Utilize resources effectively and efficiently, participate in quality improvement programs, support institutional accreditation, and provide regulatory compliance initiatives.
    • Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or nutrition-related field.
    • Current, active State of Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist license.
    • Current, active Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

    Benefits

    • Pay: $28.04 - $42.06 per hour.
