Hematologist Oncologist
Location: Orange City, Florida
AdventHealth Medical Group is looking for a team-oriented, fellowship-trained hematologist oncologist to join AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida. This position would manage a variety of hematologic and oncologic conditions to help support our expansion of services due to programmatic growth.
Job Description:
- Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians and APPs in the practice, including weekends
- Radiation and infusion will be on site
- Inpatient coverage would also comprise of a team of advanced practice providers and support from the other physicians within the practice
- Access to research, clinical trials (including phase 1), tumor boards, and multidisciplinary care consisting of nurse navigators, chaplains, social workers, palliative medicine, surgery
- Collaboration with leading experts and cutting-edge treatments in the field of Hematology Oncology

Requirements:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Hematology and Medical Oncology
Practice Overview:
This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, CME days and allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. This practice is a part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG), a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs 400+ physicians in 60+ specialties.
Hospital Overview:
The facility is a 250+ bed campus that began as Fish Memorial in 1952, in DeLand, Florida. In 1994, the hospital was renamed Volusia Medical Center and relocated to Orange City to serve the growing population of southwest Volusia County. In 1996, the Adventist Health System purchased Volusia Medical Center and in 1998, renamed the facility Florida Hospital Fish Memorial to honor the hospital’s benefactor, Judge Bert Fish. In January 2019, the hospital was renamed to AdventHealth Fish Memorial.
