The Advocacy & Resource Center is seeking a part-time, licensed Physical Therapist registered with the New York State Board of Licensure, with a passion for providing care to individuals with disabilities.

Job Description

• Conduct formal physical therapy assessments.
• Develop and oversee implementation of Physical Therapy programs.
• Promptly respond to special reviews and injury investigations.
• Work within an Article 16 Clinic, following OPWDD guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings and ensure accurate documentation of treatment.
• Implement and revise programs as needed for optimal patient outcomes.
• Evaluate participants for wheelchairs and coordinate equipment repairs.
• Obtain prescriptions and write justification letters for durable medical equipment repairs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and community agencies.

Requirements

• New York State Board of Licensure registration as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum one year of experience in physical therapy, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
• A clean driving record.
