The Advocacy & Resource Center is seeking a part-time, licensed Physical Therapist registered with the New York State Board of Licensure, with a passion for providing care to individuals with disabilities.
Job Description
- Conduct formal physical therapy assessments.
- Develop and oversee implementation of Physical Therapy programs.
- Promptly respond to special reviews and injury investigations.
- Work within an Article 16 Clinic, following OPWDD guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and ensure accurate documentation of treatment.
- Implement and revise programs as needed for optimal patient outcomes.
- Evaluate participants for wheelchairs and coordinate equipment repairs.
- Obtain prescriptions and write justification letters for durable medical equipment repairs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and community agencies.
Requirements
- New York State Board of Licensure registration as a Physical Therapist.
- Minimum one year of experience in physical therapy, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
- A clean driving record.
