Job Description:

• Sign-up schedule; can average between 5 to 20 shifts each month
• Consult with consultants appropriately
• Provide medical advice over the telephone
• Complete all required paperwork
• Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries
• Perform medical procedures
• Obtain an adequate history, physical, assessment, and plan in a timely and appropriate manner on each patient and develop a treatment plan
• Utilize paraprofessional staff as appropriate
• Respond to cardiopulmonary arrest as appropriate and arrange appropriate backup from the Emergency Medical Service (EMS)
• Interpret electrocardiograms
• Preliminary interpretation of radiographs, including CAT scans
• Direct medical care through radio communication with an ambulance
