Emergency Medicine Physician

Job Description:

• Specialties Accepted: Emergency Medicine Physician, Family Practice Physician, Internal Medicine Physician
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Schedule: Flexible
• Shifts: Single coverage - 1 MD 6a-6p / 1 MD 6p-6a; 12-20 shifts per month
• Practice Setting: Emergency Department
• Types of Cases: General emergency care, including intubation, chest tubes, and central lines

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Eligible in Emergency Medicine (must achieve certification within 2 years if not already certified)
• ACLS/PALS required if not ABEM/AOBEM certified
• Proof of ATLS certification required at least once (maintenance not required)

Patient Overview:

• Number of Patients per Hour: 1.5 – 1.8
• Ages: Pediatric to Adult
• Annual patient volume: 22,000
• ED Bed Count: 23
• Scribe Coverage: None
• APC Coverage: 1 swing
