    Job Description:

    • Perform prescribed CT imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
    • Competently perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative.
    • Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
    • Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
    • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning the patient and repeating the procedure.
    • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
    • Review patient history and physician's orders.
    • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.
    • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice when ordered.
    • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
    • Prepare equipment and supplies. Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
    • Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
    • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Associate's Degree; or Certification from a technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiography Certification and Registration or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
    • Computed Tomography (CT) Certification is required within 18 months of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience working as a CT Technologist.
    • ARRT (CT) certification.
