    Job Description:

    • Perform prescribed radiographic imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
    • Competently execute a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
    • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
    • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
    • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Review patient history and physician's orders; educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams.
    • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
    • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
    • Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implement safety standards.
    • Perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment, troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification required within 12 months of hire.
    • CPR - American Heart Association.
    • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
    • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
    • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior radiology experience.
