Respiratory Therapist

Job Description:

• Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.
• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.
• Completes documentation required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness, such as charting, billing, IPOC, and patient/family education.
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.
• Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
