Part Time Dental Hygienist

AMC seeks a Part Time Dental Hygienist for Healdsburg/Windsor. This position is 0.8 FTE, working 4 days/32 hours per week. Join an organization that is respected and well-loved by the community we serve!

Job Description

• Under the supervision of the Dentist, provide comprehensive periodontal care including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease.
• Educate patients regarding dental procedures, home care, and post-op instructions.
• Monitor and reinforce instrument sterilization and operatory disinfection and barrier control.
• Document procedures in patient charts and review patients' health histories.
• Provide comprehensive periodontal care to patients including scaling, root planning, prophylaxis, and education.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of an accredited Dental Hygienist program.
• Registered dental hygienist license, x-ray license, and current CPR certification.
• One year of experience in a dental office or clinic preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Wisdom/EPIC EHR skills a plus.
• Sensitivity to the needs and situations of a multi-cultural, low-income population and a desire to work within this population.
