Speech Language Pathologist

We are pleased to announce a part-time Speech Language Pathologist position at our Hunter Hollow location. Hunter Hollow is a flagship location for Rocky Mountain Care. The building is immaculate, spacious, and offers an open, airy feel. Residents can stroll down Main Street within the building which offers an alfresco dining experience. Stop in at The Creamery for a snack. Sit in the lobby for a "live" piano concert.

Hunter Hollow is a 105-bed skilled nursing facility. We feature a 40-bed transitional care unit and a 1500 square foot rehab gym with the latest in rehab equipment including: four sci-fit bikes, electric parallel bars, electric stand-in frame and tilt table, treadmill, ceiling light track system, and free motion pulley system.

Our SLP will be responsible for the following:

• Evaluating levels of swallowing, speech, and language difficulty
• Identifying treatment options
• Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs
• Teaching patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency
• Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language
• Working with adults and children in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow
• Counseling individuals and families on ways to cope with swallowing and communication disorders

The gym includes a full kitchen and bath for ADL training as well as a separate speech therapy treatment room. We provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services to a varied clientele including orthopedic (post-surgical, multiple trauma, after fracture care), neurologic, and chronic disease.
