Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) / Medical Technologist (MT)
Amery Hospital & Clinic is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) to join the team. As a MLT/MT, you will perform and evaluate routine and complex laboratory analysis in support of the medical staff to ensure positive patient outcomes; follow all laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records of patient results; conduct oversight of the quality control and maintenance needed for the area/instruments, and ensure that any deviations are followed up on and documented.
Job Description
- Perform and evaluate routine and complex laboratory analysis in support of the medical staff to ensure positive patient outcomes
- Follow all laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records of patient results
- Conduct oversight of the quality control and maintenance needed for the area/instruments
- Ensure that any deviations are followed up on and documented
Requirements
- Associate degree in medical technology from an accredited program and be eligible to sit for ASCP, NAACLS, or AMT registry
- Prefer minimum of 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital laboratory
- Demonstrated keyboarding skill and computer knowledge
- Previous training and/or usage of EPIC computer system is a plus
