Medical Director of Psychiatry

Job Description

• Lead clinical and administrative functions across SCHARP and BAFMA.
• Provide direct psychiatric care at least one day per week.
• Report to the CEO to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Lead and oversee the psychiatry providers as well as provide guidance to non-medical staff.
• Implement operational procedures and develop medical policies in collaboration with the executive team.
• Address barriers to care and improve appointment adherence.
• Manage budgets, productivity metrics, and staff performance.
• Provide education and training to enhance client care and provider communication.

Requirements

• Board-certified psychiatrist with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Strong leadership and administrative skills.
• Experience in high-acuity and community mental health settings preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Additional board certifications are preferred, including child and adolescent psychiatry, internal medicine, family medicine, addiction medicine, and forensic medicine.

Benefits

• Compensation range: $450,000.00 - $550,000.00 annually.
