Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

• Develop, implement, and maintain rehabilitation programs for mentally, physically, or emotionally handicapped individuals.
• Plan rehabilitation programs involving manual arts, prevocation, vocation, homemaking skills, daily living, sensorimotor, educational, and recreational activities.
• Select activity programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient and coordinate with other therapeutic activities.
• Choose constructive activities to help patients achieve maximum independence and prepare for return to work.
• Teach patients skills and techniques for participation in activities and evaluate their progress.
• Suggest special equipment for adaptation to work-living environments.
• Lay out materials for patient use and clean and repair tools after sessions.
• Conduct and participate in training programs.
• Make and fit adaptive devices such as splints and braces.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited college and licensed as an Occupational Therapist, or certified as required by the state.
• Occupational Therapy License (Required).
