Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiology

Join our team as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Salina, KS, located 90 miles from Wichita. This full-time position offers a day shift from Monday to Friday and provides an opportunity to work collaboratively with physicians in the cardiology service line.

Job Description

• Work in collaboration with physicians to assess the physical needs of patients in the clinical setting under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and collaborating Physician(s).
• Evaluate patients and provide services that enhance the physicians' care of patients in cardiology.
• Order, interpret, and record the results of clinical tests and health incentives.
• Make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment to the Primary Care Physicians as needed.
• Utilize advanced concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a variety of illnesses presented.
• Function as a consultant, facilitator, educator, change agent, program designer, and resource person to a defined patient population and caregivers.
• Assume a leadership role in strengthening collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare leaders, and nurses to improve patient/family outcomes associated with cardiology.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited advanced registered nursing program, or Bachelor of Science/Master's degree from an accredited physician assistant program.
• No previous experience required.
• Current Kansas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license, or current Kansas Physician Assistant (PA-C) license.
