Advanced Practice Provider - Emergency Medicine

Join our team as an Advanced Practice Provider in Emergency Medicine in Salina, KS, located 90 miles from Wichita, KS. This part-time position offers varied shifts, including every other Saturday and Sundays when needed.

Job Description

• Collaborate with physicians to assess the physical needs of patients admitted to the emergency room.
• Order, interpret, and record results of clinical tests and report results to physicians.
• Prescribe medications and make recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
• Utilize advanced concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a fast-paced environment with a variety of illnesses.
• Function as a consultant, facilitator, educator, change agent, program designer, and resource person to a defined patient population and caregivers.
• Assume a leadership role in strengthening collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare leaders, and nurses to improve patient/family outcomes along the care continuum.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited advanced registered nursing program or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited physician assistant program.
• Two years of experience in emergency or urgent care preferred.
• Current Kansas Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) license or current Kansas Physician Assistant (PA-C) license.
• National certification relevant to clinical practice area preferred.
