Family Medicine Physician

Location: Sumner, Iowa, 35 miles from Waterloo

Job Description:

• Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic serving the community

• Clinic located within the hospital with X-ray (imaging services), digital mammography, Lab, and other outpatient services available
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients extremely well
• In-house and visiting specialties include Ortho, ENT, Podiatry, GI Cardiology, Urology, Nephrology, Oncology, and General Surgery
• Fully integrated system with clinic and hospital on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
• Recognizes the need for a quality work/life balance

Position Details:

• Full-time with dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
• High quality of life with a 4-day work week
• Ability to care for all ages with a variety of acute, chronic condition, and well care visits
• Average patients per day vary per provider
• Outpatient call is covered by provider on-call for emergency department of the hospital
• Specialty Skills: minor procedures (e.g., skin excisions, joint injections, lacerations)
• Ability for additional income covering ED 1 weekend a month
• Supervision of ED Advanced Practice Provider opportunity
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and the community we serve
• Provide the best outcome for every patient every time

Requirements:

• MD or DO
• BC/BE in Family Medicine
• Hold an unrestricted license
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to work as a team member
