Neurocritical Care Physician
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Job Description:
- Full-time position with standard hours of 40 per week, Shift 1
- Join an interdisciplinary team of neurocritical care specialists, advanced practitioners, certified neurocritical care nurses, and neuroscience residents
- Work within the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at Group Hospital, featuring a 23-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, nine-bed Neuro Step Down Unit, and an 18-bed Neuroscience patient-care floor
- Participate in a Neurocritical Care program with a follow-up Neurorecovery Clinic
- Contribute to the care of 1,750 neurosurgeries annually
- Support the LIFE STAR air ambulance system, which transports patients within a 150-mile radius
- Engage with a full Neurovascular Department treating strokes and aneurysms with endovascular and intercranial surgery
- Hospital is a Joint-Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Stroke Gold Plus achievement award winner, and level one trauma center with a Leapfrog A - honor roll rating
Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurologists with fellowship training in neurocritical care medicine
- Seeking a collaborative clinician eager to practice in a fast-paced, collaborative setting with a diverse patient panel
- Driven to learn from peers across all medical specialties
