Non-Invasive Cardiologist

St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a locum to permanent position. A Virginia license is required, with compensation ranging from $325 to $340 per hour.

Job Description

• Practice setting includes inpatient, call, outpatient, and clinic.
• Reason for coverage: 2nd physician support needed during recruitment.
• Dates of coverage: ASAP until physician is onboarded.
• Call ratio: 1:6.
• Average number of clinic patients per day: 10.
• Average number of inpatient admissions per physician per day: 12-15.
• Number of cardiologists in the group: 1.
• Other cardiologists will be present during locum's coverage.
• The locum physician will be required to supervise other healthcare providers, specifically 4 APCs.
• Patient age demographic: adult/geriatric.
• Documentation system/EMR: EPIC.

Requirements

• Provider must be Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) certified (this is for advanced heart failure; the provider will not perform any invasive procedures) - required.
• ACLS certification - required.
• AHF fellowship with LVAD experience - required.
• Provider must be local; only mileage is reimbursed - required.
• DEA certification - required.
• Active Virginia license - required.
• Temporary positions can be offered; must have a clean background to be considered - required.
• A self-query NPDB report is mandatory at the time of presentation. The self-query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date - required.
