Join our dedicated team as a Hematology/Oncology physician in Oklahoma City, OK. This position offers an ongoing need starting July 1, 2025, with a focus on providing comprehensive care to patients in a supportive environment.

Job Description

• Provide locum tenens coverage for a dedicated Oncology and Hematology provider from July 2025 through October 2025.
• Manage scheduled clinic and inpatient coverage from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Take call coverage 2-3 days each week and participate in a weekend call rotation occurring once every ten weeks.
• Responsibilities include:
  • Patient examination and treatment administration
  • Supportive care plans and symptom management
  • Patient monitoring and new patient consults for hematologic and oncologic referrals
  • Patient communication and coordination with other healthcare professionals
  • Hospital rounds and call coverage
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records

Requirements

• Licensed in Oklahoma or IMLC to apply

Benefits

• Competitive compensation: $490 per hour, $700 per night for nightly call, $550 per hour for callback, $550 per hour for overtime, and $2,500 per day for 24-hour call.

Mercy Cancer Center provides the latest advancements in cancer treatment, including access to current drugs and therapies, clinical trials of investigational pharmaceuticals, and cutting-edge diagnostic technologies. The facility includes a cancer resource center and an on-site specialty pharmacy. Psycho-social support and survivorship care are available to patients, along with genetic testing, early detection, genetic counseling, education, and support services. A multidisciplinary team approach is utilized, including radiation oncology, surgical oncology, breast oncology, gynecologic oncology, and colorectal surgery. Mercy oncology infusion is located within the same facility, steps away from clinic spaces, with oncology nurses specially trained in oncology education.
