In this position, you will perform x-ray, mammography, and EKG procedures on our adult and pediatric patients.
Job Description
- Perform medical imaging procedures according to provider orders and established practices and procedures.
- Conduct routine x-ray, mammography, and EKG procedures on patients.
- Greet patients, verify identity, obtain history, and explain procedures.
- Provide instructions, properly position patients to ensure safety, adjust equipment, and perform imaging procedures.
- Process digital images and examine radiological images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability.
- Deliver images to radiologist or provider for reading/interpretation.
- Report test results following clinic protocols, alerting providers and nurses to abnormal results.
- Maintain mammography registry and verify that lay summaries are sent to each patient within thirty days of examination.
- Adhere to all medical imaging quality control procedures as per ACR and MQSA standards.
- Follow safety standards and use radiation protection when operating radiological equipment.
- Prepare, stock, and clean exam rooms; maintain supplies.
- Maintain medical imaging and other equipment in efficient operating order and perform preventive maintenance.
- Adhere to clinic policies and procedures, including OSHA, infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality.
- Attend department meetings as scheduled.
- Maintain courteous, professional relationships with providers, staff, patients, other healthcare facilities, service providers, and the general public.
- Enhance professional growth and development by attending meetings, seminars, conferences, continuing education courses, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Wisconsin Radiographer license or eligible.
- Current certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) as a General Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Completion of an accredited course in radiological technology or associate degree in radiological technology.
- 3D breast tomosynthesis certification or certification within 6 months of hire.
- PC/typing and telephone experience.
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality.
- Excellent decision-making, organization, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to accurately document patient information and communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- One-year experience in radiologic imaging modalities.
- Experience performing EKGs.
- Previous experience in a clinic setting.
- Previous experience with Epic, PACS; CPR certification.

Work Schedule
As needed, 8 or 10-hour shifts between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
Environmental/Working Conditions
Combination of office and exam settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to a clinic environment. Frequent contact with providers, staff, patients, other healthcare facilities, and the general public.
Physical/Mental Demands
Varied activities including standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting. Requires full range of body motion, including lifting and handling of patients. Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions.
