Therapeutic Services Clinical Supervisor
The Therapeutic Services Clinical Supervisor, under the direction of the Therapeutic Services Director, is responsible for training, supervising, and evaluating the Therapeutic Services Clinicians to ensure they provide assigned clients with quality services in accordance with the defined departmental goals and objectives. This role effectively demonstrates a working knowledge of the Child Welfare System.
Job Description
- Recruit, interview, and hire employees.
- Instruct, train, and advise staff related to their job duties and changes in policies, procedures, or work standards.
- Provide periodic in-service trainings with staff to ensure understanding of compliance obligations and demonstrate improvements where needed.
- Facilitate regularly scheduled staff meetings and conduct individual supervision of staff as scheduled.
- Assure that the services being offered are of high quality and align with the goals and objectives of the funding source(s) and agency.
- Utilize database systems to review data, generate reports, and evaluate outcomes.
- Prepare for audits and ensure audit compliance.
- Track, compile, and report program statistics.
- Keep the Director of Therapeutic Services and/or his/her designee informed of programs, services, and/or staff needs for training and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Therapeutic Services Director or designee.
Requirements
- Licensed Master's level clinician (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology), fully licensed preferred.
- 3-5 years working in the social service field.
- 3-5 years of experience providing individual, family, and group therapy.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with the Child Welfare system in Michigan preferred.
- Well organized with strong communication skills.
- Substance abuse experience is a plus.
- Extensive experience in service coordination and understanding of treatment modalities for clients with clinical issues of substance abuse, adult and child mental health, and family services coordination required.
- Ability to work rapidly with a high degree of precision to ensure accuracy and meet prescribed timelines.
- Proof of registration within defined area: Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist, etc.
