    MRI Technologist - Per Diem

    Location: Mullica Hill, Swedesboro, Sicklerville, and Vineland offices

    Job Description:

    • Operate all aspects of MR scanning unit, incorporating extensive knowledge of systems computer and all program modalities to perform scanning procedures and transfer images to film or software for interpretation
    • Evaluate screening to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field
    • Consult with the Radiologist and implement proper scanning protocols as directed
    • Complete daily work schedule, documenting in Zotec and on any required forms
    • Monitor patient flow and accommodate unscheduled patients and add-on studies
    • Perform all quality control testing, equipment calibrations, warm-up and shut down procedures with proper documentation, as per office policy
    • Advise the Chief Technologist/Office Administrator of the need for all maintenance, service and repair work
    • Participate in office meetings, in-service programs, continuing education programs and other designated activity
    • Respond to office codes, policies and procedures to ensure optimum patient, employee, visitor and physical plant safety and security
    • Demonstrate competency in dealing with patients in all age categories: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric
    • Perform all other duties as required and assigned

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited MRI program
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and MR Board Certified
    • Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification is required prior to start of employment (must include hands-on instruction)
    • Willing to receive training and certification in venipuncture for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter
    • If not currently certified, must be willing to obtain. In-house training will be provided.

    Scheduling:

    This Per Diem position will provide coverage in the office locations. Scheduling is based on employee availability and department needs.
