Behavioral Health Nurse

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana

Job Description:

Administer nursing care to patients with abuse, addiction, psychiatric needs
Recognize and interpret symptoms of clients' conditions, report to appropriate personnel and assist with remedial measures for adverse developments
Focus on client empowerment in providing treatment, seeking to assist clients to build on strengths in addressing treatment needs
Diagnose and establish individualized plans giving patients total care and needed attention
Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and care team
Educate patients and families about health maintenance and abuse prevention

Requirements:

Maintain accurate patient medical records
Encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and interest in patients' personal and health care needs
