    General Job Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive system disorders in adults and potentially children.
    • Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, X-rays, CT scans, and blood tests.
    • Perform endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans.
    • Manage chronic digestive conditions and provide ongoing patient care.
    • Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care.
    • Educate patients on digestive health and disease prevention.
    • Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
    • Stay current on the latest advancements in gastroenterology through continuing education.

    • Board certification in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA.
    • Active and unrestricted medical license in Wisconsin.

    Experience:

    • Prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing gastroenterology care in a clinical or hospital setting.
