• Shift Schedule: Standard 5, 8-Hour 07:00 - 07:00

General Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive system disorders in adults and potentially children.
• Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, X-rays, CT scans, and blood tests.
• Perform endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Manage chronic digestive conditions and provide ongoing patient care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists for coordinated care.
• Educate patients on digestive health and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
• Stay current on the latest advancements in gastroenterology through continuing education.

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the ACGME or AOA.
• Fellowship training in gastroenterology may be preferred.

License & Certifications:

• Board certification in gastroenterology by the ABIM or the AOA.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas.

Experience:

• Most positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
