    Point of Care Coordinator

    Location: Ballad Health Medical Associates

    Job Description:

    • Oversight of Point of Care activities within the lab
    • Provide periodic updates of point of care testing to Laboratory's Medical and Administrative Directors
    • Responsible for review of quality control, instrument linearity checks, instrument maintenance, and compliance activities
    • Make recommendations for corrective action to Laboratory's Directors
    • Oversee laboratory staff performing point of care review assignments
    • Work closely with Laboratory Leadership to ensure standardization of point of care policies and procedures
    • Keep abreast of changing regulatory requirements and develop new point of care protocols as needed
    • Oversee State Exemptions and evaluate point of care instruments
    • Serve as resource for patient care areas and on-site regulatory inspectors

    Requirements:

    • Minimum four years of experience in a hospital medical laboratory
    • Desirable experience as a Clinical Instructor or formal background in education
    • Computer literacy and skills in statistical analysis
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Formal presentation skills (training can be provided)

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Valid and active Medical Technologist licensure in appropriate state

    Work Requirements:
