Job Description

• Provide nursing care as directed by the Director of Nursing
• Supervise the program aide assigned to assist with nursing services
• Take and monitor patient vital signs
• Assist patients with eating, dressing, and bathing
• Administer medication
• Communicate changes in patient behavior or health status to nurses, physicians, and family members
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Collect specimen samples when needed
• Take an active part in patient care planning
• Prepare patients for transfers or discharge
• Assist in medical procedures
• Manage emergency medical situations

Requirements

• Must have a valid LPN license in good standing
• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required
• Completion of orientation required by company policy
• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire
• Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check
• Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment
• High school diploma or equivalent
