    Radiation Therapist I

    Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan

    Job Description:

    • Under general direction and supervision and in accordance with prescription, operates x-ray therapy equipment to simulate and/or treat patients for malignancies and pain.
    • Documents treatment procedures in patient's charts and verifies accuracy.
    • Performs quality assurance checks daily on equipment.
    • Performs calculations when required.
    • Performs basic dosimetry calculation.
    • Operates all linear accelerators and simulators with minimal supervision.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or graduate of a CAHEA accredited school to Radiation Therapy or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Current registration or registry eligible with the ARRT. Must successfully complete registry examination in Radiation Therapy within one year of date of hire.
